Each year, the community of Lexington and the University of Kentucky recognize April as Earth Month, a month dedicated to promoting sustainability and participating in sustainable initiatives around the community. With so many exciting events happening on or around campus, it’s easy to get involved in Earth Month 2022!

- April 4: UK Off-Campus Housing Pop-up Tabling Event (Student Center, 12:00-2:30pm)
- April 5: UK CCTS Conference on Climate and Health

- April 9: Reforest the Bluegrass
- April 9: Free Trash Disposal Day
Week of April 11-17
- April 11-15: UK Waste Reduction Week
- April 13: UK Farm to Fork (Ag North & Funkhouser)
- UK Honors College Creek Cleanup
- April 15: Leestown Middle School tree planting event at Masterson Station Park (volunteer opportunity, 9am-1pm)
- April 16: Town Branch Clean-up (9am-1pm @ Manchester Music Hall)

- April 18-22: UK Bike Week
- April 19: UK Spring Sustainability Symposium
- April 20: UK Farm to Fork (Ag North & Funkhouser)
- April 22: UK Dining Plant Forward Picnic (at the 90, starts at 11:00)
- April 22: UK Tree Planting Event
- April 22: Virtual Earth Day Run
- April 23: Household Hazardous Waste Event
- April 23: Raven Run Earth Day Volunteering
