For many, sustainability has long evoked environmental stewardship – think the 3 ‘R’s: reduce, reuse, recycle. But sustainability is also about social justice and economic prosperity.
Our goal is to engage in conversations with the community that encourage consideration of the social, environmental, and economic impact of our individual choices. We want to help campus – and ultimately the Commonwealth – understand that sustainability-driven decisions are not out of reach. So, as we continue to work toward a more accessible and equitable vision for sustainability, we do so with three new ‘R’s in mind:

WholeSum is a platform designed to inspire, inform, and encourage our University community to engage in sustainability. To do this, we have highlighted six areas of focus: University operations, sustainability tips, community, research, academics, and activism.
