We’re reaching out for your valuable insights into the values, attitudes, and knowledge surrounding recycling and waste management within the University of Kentucky community. By participating in a brief 15-minute survey, you’ll be contributing to our understanding of these crucial aspects. Additionally, as a token of appreciation for your time, completing the survey grants you the chance to enter a drawing for one of eight $25 cash cards. With an expected 400 survey responses, your odds of winning stand at approximately 1 in 50.
This survey is a really valuable tool to helping UK become a zero-waste campus. When we received the results from the first survey in 2021, we used it as a roadmap for how best to provide education and outreach to our campus. For instance, the signs you see on the back of the indoor recycling containers are a direct result of that first survey, so we are very excited to see how this round of the survey will be able to help us improve our messaging even more.
This year we built out the survey into two rounds, and initial analysis of campus in the fall and another round in the spring to see how or if the campus community had learned from UK Recycling’s education and outreach efforts throughout the year. We’re hoping to understand which of our initiatives were successful and what parts of campus we need to refocus our messaging on to be more successful at reaching them.
